This is a brief chronicle of the operations of USS Strong (DD 467). All available sources of information have been used in assembling this narrative—the official records of Strong, war diaries and action reports of other US ships, and English language translations of Japanese action summaries. An attempt has been made to “tell it like it was.” There may be some surprises.
This document was prepared solely for the private use of the survivors of USS Strong (DD 467) and their families.
