Right, above: as completed in 1943, Bennett carried a typical 1943–1944 armament, including ten 21-inch torpedo tubes in two quintuple mounts; ten 40mm Bofors in five twin mounts and seven 20mm Oerlikon in single mounts.
Right, below: as repaired in 1945 following her kamikaze damage, Bennett incorporated the 1945 anti-aircraft modification: the forward torpedo tube mount was landed to make room for 40mm quadruple mounts and her seven 20mm singles were replaced by six 20mm twins.
