Stevens under attack by Samuel J. Glanzman, World War II shipmate, who later wrote and drew comic book stories drawn from his experiences for both DC and Marvel Comics. In his long comic book career he also did stories featuring The Haunted Tank, Sgt. Rock, Tarzan, Kona, Hercules and many more.
