Outboard profile drawing from Federal Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co., Kearny, New Jersey, dated 9 October 1942, for DDs 483–490 (Aaron Ward, Buchanan, Duncan, Lansdowne, Lardner, McCalla, Mervine and Quick). The drawing shows four 5-inch guns, one quintuple torpedo tube mount, 20mm Oerlikon anti-aircraft guns forward and abreast the after stack and side-by-side twin 40mm Bofors aft (Aaron Ward and her DesRon 12 sisters were completed with the earlier fit of a 1.1-inch cannon to starboard and a 20mm single Oerlikon to port).
