UNATTACHED
The deck logs of 599 Barton do not indicate that she was ever attached to a squadron. After shakedown she went to the Pacific, often operating with DesRon 2 and DesRon 12 before her loss in November 1942.

Note: Division listings show ships in hull-number order. Division listings in other sources sometimes use different orders, e.g., reflecting the seniority of their commanding officers at a specific time.
